Abstract

The School of Chemical Engineering (FEQ) utilizes FAPESP's Institutional Technical Reserve as an opportunity to modernize its collective research infrastructure. In 2023, three main areas are prioritized: 1.Improvement of utility infrastructure for decentralized laboratories: Proposal to replace and install six air conditioners (24 KBTU) and eight emergency eyewash stations in laboratories, ensuring comfort and safety in compliance with regulations. 2.Enhancement of the Common Use Laboratory (LRAC): Investments in strengthening the LRAC, which supports FEQ research with cutting-edge equipment and adheres to ISO 17.025 certification requirements. The acquisition of a press to seal liquid samples for the CHNS analyzer is proposed to enhance the quality and scope of analyses. 3.Technical support infrastructure: Acquisition of one APC SRV 2 KVA UPS to support the transition to Unicamp's Cloud 2.0, modernizing IT resources. These actions aim to meet the dynamic demands of the laboratories, ensure safety, and improve the quality of research. (AU)
