Abstract

Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecological cancer in developed countries and the second most frequent in Brazil, with an estimated 7,840 new cases of uterine body cancer in Brazil between 2023 and 2025 [1].The primary treatment for endometrial cancer consists of hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and lymph node evaluation through sentinel lymph node biopsy or systematic lymphadenectomy. About 15 to 20% of patients with endometrial cancer have a high risk of recurrence and cancer-specific mortality, and adjuvant treatment with radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy is recommended for this group.For decades, endometrial cancer was classified and stratified exclusively based on imprecise histopathological findings that were poorly reproducible and discrepant among specialized observers. In recent years, advances in precision medicine have enabled the identification of molecular subgroups that correlates with prognosis, allowing a more accurate risk stratification and tailoring of adjuvant treatment.This study aims to analyze the tumor molecular profile and clinical outcomes of high-risk endometrial cancer patients treated at ICESP between 2013 and 2019. The analyzed data will support a doctoral thesis on the same topic under the guidance of Dr. Maria Del Pilar Estevez Diz. (AU)
