Abstract

The Plan aims to implement the strategies defined for establishing the infrastructure required for the advancement of research and innovation within the FMUSP-HC Academic System. It follows the guidelines set out by the "Strategic Foresight" developed by CGEE, the "Future-Seeking" conference by FMUSP, revised in 2021, the "Strategic Planning for Research Management" event held in 2012, the "Strategic Planning for Medical Investigation Laboratories" from 2016, the event "Challenges to Innovation in an Academic Health Center" in 2018, and FMUSP's Academic Project for the period 2019-2023, alongside major research infrastructure projects approved by FINEP. At this stage, investments have been directed towards essential repairs to maintain the chilled water system infrastructure, aimed at ensuring thermal comfort in the facilities. Additionally, plans include updating the research-dedicated IT infrastructure, with new equipment acquisitions and specialized service contracts. Improvements are also planned for the infrastructure of the laboratories under the Technical Division for Research and Innovation Support, particularly for the Preclinical Research Support Service, to ensure high standards in the care and breeding of animals for preclinical studies. Other actions include the maintenance of the Prof. Carlos da Silva Lacaz fungal culture collection, the acquisition of laboratory safety equipment and services, the preservation of the Premium network infrastructure, and support for integrated research and innovation management activities.
