Abstract

During her visit to the School of Architecture, Urbanism and Design of the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP), Professor Anna Guarducci will teach an intensive course open to the public, including undergraduate and graduate students from the University of São Paulo, students from other universities in the State of São Paulo, and the general public. The course will be held from April 28 to May 9, 2025, and will consist of 8 classes of 2 hours each, for a total workload of 16 hours. It will focus on the following themes: Historical Geography, Territory, Landscape and Cultural Heritage. Professor Guarducci will also hold two meetings with researchers who are members of the JP 2 FAPESP project "Baroque Açu. Brazil in the Artistic Geography of the Global South", coordinated by Professor Renata Maria De Almeida Martins, and the CNPq Research Group "Landscape Archaeology", led by Professor Beatriz Piccolotto Siqueira Buena. There will also be a meeting/interview with members of the Research Project "Time, Memory and Belonging", coordinated by Professor Marina Massimi at the Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of São Paulo, as well as a conference with a debate at the São Paulo City Museum for public servants of the Municipality's Historical Heritage Department, open to the general public.
