Human Resources Program in Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Energy Transition on the Brazilian Equatorial Margin

Abstract

This independent proposal aims to meet the Public Call Notice No. 1/PRH-ANP/2025, submitting a proposal for a new PRH-ANP program. The program, entitled "Human Resources Program in Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Energy Transition of the Energy Sector in the Brazilian Equatorial Margin", is based at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte/ School of Science and Technology (UFRN/ECT). By the potential that UFRN has demonstrated over the last few years as an agent of transformation of society, about scientific and technological development, as well as in professional training through its undergraduate and graduate courses and available physical infrastructure. In this scenario, the institution aims to present this proposal for a new PRH-ANP program as a training agent for the demand for professional specialists in technology applied to the Oil, Natural Gas, Biofuels and Energy sectors. To this end, it will make use of multidisciplinary training at the undergraduate level of the Bachelor's Degree in Science and Technology, working in different training axes aiming at training that meets the current demands of the sector, focusing on materials and manufacturing technologies, digital transformation and technological business, and sustainable solutions. To guarantee continued training, this proposal includes participation in the postgraduate programs in Materials Science and Engineering (PPGCEM) and Mechanical Engineering (PPGEM), courses that are the second cycle of the bachelor's degree in Science and Technology.
