Abstract

The School of Medical Sciences (FCM) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) is a teaching and research unit comprised of undergraduate programs in Medicine and Speech-Language Pathology, Medical Residency Programs, and Graduate Programs. Its annual scientific output ranks among the best in Latin America. In 2023, for example, there were 100 doctoral defenses, 113 master's thesis defenses, 1,038 scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals, 287 books/chapters published, 20 full papers published in Conference Proceedings, and 856 participations in conferences and other events. This output is based on the activities of 100 laboratories, where clinical and translational research protocols are developed, as well as in animal and cellular models.This plan, therefore, aims to maintain and improve the working conditions of these laboratories to achieve even higher standards within the international scientific community.
