Exploring the sodium and rare-earth doping in semiconductor oxide thin films: effects of resistive memory and thermoelectricity

Abstract

Semiconductor oxides have a strong technological focus due to the diverse functionalities that can be promoted by engineering their bulk and surface electronic properties. In this project, we intend to study two phenomenologies: i) the memristive properties of sodium-doped ZnO films by exploring the electrical excitation conditions (waveform and scanning frequency) and surface oxidation-reduction under different atmospheres; ii) the optical signatures associated with the optimization of the thermoelectric properties of sodium cobaltite films.
