Abstract
The integration of popular culture narratives into higher education has increasingly been recognized as an effective strategy for fostering meaningful learning by bridging curricular content with students' cultural repertoires and supporting the implementation of active learning approaches. Research conducted at Fatec Barueri as part of the project Teaching Knowledge, Pop Culture Pedagogies, and the Use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies: Proposals for Technological Higher Education (FAPESP Grant No. 2025/09047-7) has shown that many faculty members in Professional and Technological Education face challenges in identifying, selecting, and integrating popular culture resources into course design and instructional planning. To address this gap, the present proposal brings together two complementary Undergraduate Research projects. The first aims to develop a repository of case studies based on audiovisual narratives, systematically organized into pedagogical guides for use in Event Management education. The second seeks to design and implement a pilot pedagogical curation application powered by this repository, enabling instructors to efficiently identify case studies, learning activities, competencies, and teaching resources aligned with the learning objectives of their courses. This study adopts an applied qualitative research approach, integrating a literature review, the analysis of audiovisual narratives, the development of pedagogical guides, information architecture design, and the creation of a digital prototype to be validated by faculty members at the institution. The expected outcomes include the development of a searchable repository of case studies and a pilot application to support instructional planning. Together, these products are expected to promote pedagogical innovation while strengthening the integration of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICTs) into Professional and Technological Education, thereby expanding opportunities for more engaging, contextually relevant, and student-centered teaching practices.
