Abstract

The benefits that tree-planting brings to a city are common knowledge, principally when it is a question of thermal comfort. However, there is little data which points to the thermal efficiency of the action of treeplanting in urban areas. Thus, this project proposes the study of the effects of tree-planting on the control of the intensity of solar radiation incident in urban centers, through the experimental observation of the relationships between solar radiation which passes through the tops of trees and the intensity of the heat transferred to the environment.
