Abstract

The project aims to develop a study centered on the Serra do Cipó (MG), given that its flora has received special attention for floristic studies, and complementary research tasks at morpho-anatomic level of ecological, phylogenetic and even taxonomic character are of great relevance in the understanding of the different environments of this area. The objective of the research are: a) anatomic study of the vegetative organs of the most representative families of the region, aiming to analyze the morpho-anatomic variations which occur in the species, taking into consideration the different environments and the different habitats; b) study of the aspects related to floral biology and the reproductive cycle of some species; c) morphological study compared to common galls in the region.
