Abstract

It is intended to investigate, in a systematic way, the dynamic of nuclear reactions induced by light heavy ions. For this purpose, we will need to build an entire experimental infrastructure, which involves a scattering chamber and detectors of charged particles with geometry close to 4n. With this arrangement we intend to determine the temporal scales of several types of nuclear reactions and, at the same time, to characterize the formation of dinuclear configurations. The entire experimental apparatus will form one of the first beam lines to be installed in the Linac post-accelerator of the Pelletron. This project involves, in its research activities, scientists from abroad. (AU)
