Abstract

The objective of this project is to use the techniques of modern optics to understand the basic properties of supernetwork type semiconductor films grown by MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy). Through techniques such as the absorption of two photons, wave mixture, ultrashort-pulse spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy, we hope to understand the phenomenon of relaxation of hot carriers, excitation coherence loss, binding energy of excitons, quantum confinement, phonon scattering. This concerns, however, a project with a single objective, but using diverse optical techniques already used by the Optics Group on other problems. (AU)
