Geoelectricals methods applied in studies of the contamination of sediments by fuels

Abstract

Through the integrated application of the of the resistivity (DC), induced polarization, self potential, potential and ground penetrating radar methods, investigating polluted sandy and clay sediments for gasoline and moisturized ethyl alcohol fuels, in tank simulating reduced model of field, they should be studied the variations of the involved physical parameters, separately in function of the used fluid, identifying contamination plumes, defining a variation model for the sediments non contaminated and contaminated, including a study of your temporary variations.
