Abstract

The lack or the inadequate content of essential mineral nutrients, in the initial phase of the growth of forest species native pioneers, can be an important factor for the success of projects of forest recovery and forest restoration that have as objective the forest carbon sequestration. The general objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of the omission macronutrients and micronutrients in young plants of three Brazilian native forest species pioneers, Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi, Zanthoxylum chiloperone Mart. ex. Engl and Cordia superba. The specifics objective are: to describe the visual symptoms; to evaluate the biometrics parameters (total height, diameter of stem, leaf number and biomass production) and the physiological consequences of the omission of mineral nutrients on the transpiration and the carbon sequestration; to visualize the ultra-structural alterations of cells mesophyl submitted to the different treatments of omission. The experiment will be carried out in a greenhouse with randomized blocks, with thirteen treatments for each species replicated three times, using the technique of the subtraction diagnose -N, -P, -K, -Ca, -Mg, -S, -B, -Cu, -Fe, -Mn, -Mo, -Zn), plus a control treatment with adequate concentration of all nutrients.
