Abstract
The development of Screen-Printed Electrodes (SPE), based on graphite and polyurethane composites is proposed. The hydrophobic character of such material associated to the possibility of automation in the manufacturing of a single electroanalytical device containing the working, reference and auxiliary electrodes printed on the same support makes the proposition attractive. In addition the preparation and characterization of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) intended to be used as modifiers for the composite electrodes are also proposed. It is expected that the MIP lead to an improvement in the selectivity and sensitivity of the electrodes and epinephrine is proposed as a probe for developing analytical procedures that will be applied in real samples. An evaluation of the electrode performance in electroanalytical techniques such as cyclic, differential pulse and square wave voltammetry will be performed. The procedures are intended to be used in the determination of analytes with environmental, biological and pharmaceutical interest using both the SPE and the MIP modified composites (AU)
