Abstract

Interacting with Peruíbe and Vale do Ribeira regions means living the dilemma between nature conservation and the rights and quality of life of local communities; it means experiencing the conflicts arising from restrictions on the use of land and natural resources imposed by the environmental law and policies that govern the establishment and management of conservation and protection areas. While Environmental Education, as a cross-cutting subject, will be a dialogic concern in the teaching-learning process, other contents of primary and secondary school subjects (Portuguese Language, Mathematics, History, etc.), organized in an interdisciplinary manner focused in Geosciences contents, in projects to be developed by the students.
