It is an observational study of cross-sectional design. The sampling delineation will be the stratified probabilistic. The size of the sample was estimated by the process of sampling for a finite population, being estimated on 1,612 individuals. To evaluate the social economic level it will be used the Scale of The Brazilian Association of Research Enterprises. Using the software SPRING 4.2 a georeferenced basis of information will be produced that contained the housing location data of the students associated with the variables of interest. It will be performed the descriptive statistic of the variables. To study the effectiveness of the detection of binge drinking, concerning to the use of different approaches on different methods, it will be estimated the sensibility, the specificity, the accuracy and the positive and negative preditive values of the tests. It also will be done the ROC curve and its area will be calculated. The association of binge drinking with each of the several variables of interest will be studied by the Ç2 test. The data that present statistic value or p<0,15 will make the multivaried analysis. The ominous-directional experimental semivariogram will be elaborated. The level of significance will be 5%. After the computation of the results, some talkings will be scheduled in each institution to orient about the risks of abusive use of alcohol. (AU)
