Abstract

This proposal attempts studies of photoemission, electroemission and energy transfer processes of organic polymers and dyes, used in electro-optical and photovoltaic devices. The systems which to be studied were polyfluorenes and their blends or mixtures with other materials such as charge or hole injectors, where the film thicknesses similar to that used in devices. Photophysical studies will be performed under photostationary and time resolved conditions, in both solutions and solid state. With data from spectroscopic techniques we will discuss the correlation between the morphology of thin films and the performance of the electroluminescent devices. (AU)
