Expression analysis center of the clinical genome project: the role of chemokines, adhesion molecules and angiogenesis-related genes in cancer

Abstract

We propose to use the resources of our Laboratories and of our Bioinformatics group to coordinate and integrate the activities of two expression analysis laboratories and two general genome analysis laboratories to: 1) Prepare high quality mRNA from tissue samples for expression analysis; 2) Prepare DNA from tissue and blood samples (from patients and controls); 3) Carry on micro-array hybridization and analysis; 4) Coordinate the analysis of polymorphisms in DNA from blood samples from patients and from controls; 5) Coordinate the high-throughput analysis to detect loss of heterozygosity; 6) Develop the research project for downstream exploitation of the data "Role of chemokines, adhesion molecules and angiogenesis-related genes in cancer".
