Abstract

Chronic Renal Disease is a health public problem with alterations in the metabolism of phosphorus and with complications that increase the morbidity and mortality in these patients. Now it is become clearly that, in face to the decline of the renal function, the small intestine can be an important focus in the therapeutical for control of the hyperphosphatemia and the studies has salient the difficulty in generalizing the gotten data. The aim of this work is according to investigate the effects of administration of diets with different phosphorus loads in the regulation of co-transporters NaP-IIb and PIT1 in the segments of small intestine of uremic rats.Wistar rats, males, submitted to 5/6 nephrectomy (n= 30) and controls (n= 30). The animals will be fed for 4 weeks with standard diet in protein and phosphorus and for 48 hours prior to sacrifice will be divided into groups according to load of phosphorus in the diet, distributed in metabolic cages to collect urine for 24 hours. After this period, will be used techniques for analysis of the expression of the co-transporters in the intestinal mucosa in the distinct segments. (AU)
