Abstract

This is an exploratory quantitative and qualitative study which focuses the Labour process and the profile of nursing faculty in different institutional contexts of higher education (IHE) in São Paulo. Overall objective has to describe and analyze the main aspects of the institutional context, profile and process of teaching nursing in university offering courses in nursing in the State of São Paulo. Uses as theoretical and methodological Historical and Dialectical Materialism (MHD), in view of its contribution to research and intervention in nursing, to consider social phenomena as part of reality. The analytical category is the process of teaching, grounded in conceptions of health work and Labour process postulated by Mendes-Gonçalves (1994). To achieve the objective, the research will be divided into three main stages, namely: identification and classification of institutional contexts of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) offering nursing courses in the state of São Paulo, identification and analysis of the profile of teaching Nursing IES offering nursing courses in the state of São Paulo, identification and analysis of the process of teaching nursing IES offering nursing courses in the state of Sao Paulo, is expected to study to understand the effects of diversification of IES the profile and work process of nursing professor and contribute to discussion about the process of teaching, the professional responsible for training of nurses across the country.
