Abstract

The literature has pointed to the importance of the skills of interpersonal problems solution (HSPI) psychosocial adaptation level of individuals. Children with better performance in HSPI show better adapted to the situations of life, while the difficulties in these skills often signal relationship problems, behavior problems, school performance, among others. Since these skills are learned and can be developed from four years of age, the preventive character that training these skills may have to prevent psychosocial problems in boyhood and adolescence. Given this context, the present work aims to create a program culturally adapted to the development of HSPI with children six to 10 years, which can be easy to implement in different institutions that work with minors. The program will be created and tested as to its effectiveness and implementation, by applying it in children belonging to the municipal teaching network Cravinhos, aiming to develop HSPI and academic support. The number of participants will be 200 children. The program will be implemented by teacher network (previously trained) and by assistants (students of Psychology). Children will be assessed before and after surgery and five months after the intervention about their HSPI, behavior problems and academic performance. The program will comprise 40 themes which will be developed in 40 meetings with duration of one hour. During the implementation of the program there is a group of comparison which will not receive any kind of intervention. It is expected to verify the effectiveness of the program and the possibility of implementation by different professionals in the field of education. (AU)
