I CAN THINK PROGRAM: LARGE-SCALE TEST.

Abstract

It is expected to produce knowledge that can subsidize practice of universal prevention in childhood behavior problems, as these problems are associated with psychosocial disorders in adulthood. The practice is aimed at promoting development and / or improvement of social skills (HS). Based on fit bioecological the study refers to the possibility of the school intervene in adaptive efforts of the students, through training devices thereof, through systematic work of the teacher. It has aimed a large-scale field trial of the I can think program (Elias, 2013), for final calibration purposes and edition. The program is a universal feature of preventive intervention aimed at developing / enhancing interpersonal problem solving skills - HSPI (one HS class). The program was developed in its early stages with FAPESP aid. Participate in the study 60 teachers of municipal SP Sertãozinho- of teaching and their students (about 1800). Teachers and their students will be divided into three groups: GI - students who receive intervention and that their teachers will undergo training; GII - students who receive intervention and that their teachers will undergo training and; GIII - control. For the evaluations will be used instruments to ascertain the HSPI, HS, behavior problems and school performance. After studying relevant statistical analyzes will be performed. It is expected that the results moving in the same direction as those found in the first application program and thus produce the final edition of the same. (AU)
