Abstract

The technology of plant production has been developed with advances in research and the incorporation of new materials, equipment and techniques, providing increasing in productivity per area. Growing vegetables in a greenhouse is an example of this technology, allowing, in addition to increases in production, higher quality and stability of products dealt during the year, providing higher profits to producers. However, many details and information still are required, especially about growing systems, cultural practices and nutrition management of plants in greenhouse. This project will be conducted at the Department of Plant Production (ESALQ / USP) and will aim to study the influences of composition and management of nutrient solution, the training systems of the plants and the agricultural substrate on productivity and quality characteristics of the mini tomato plants in a greenhouse.
