Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate, in vivo, the biological response of aqueous and ethanolic solutions prepared with plant extract to Araca (Psidium cattleianum) associated with Calcium Hydroxide, Ca(OH)2, and for the control group will be used to paste of Ca(OH)2 associated with propilenegllycol. For the edema analysis immediate response), will be used 30 male rats (Rattus norvegicus). Under general anesthesia, the animals will receive intravenous injection of Evans blue to 1%. After 30 minutes, will be injected into 0.1 mL of each paste, in subcutaneous region. The animals will be euthanized after 3 and 6 hours and obtained pieces placed in formamide for 72 hours. The reading of the analysis edemogenica will be performed in a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 630 nm. For the microscopic analysis (late response), polyethylene tubes containing the solutions, aqueous ethanol and propileneglycol associated with the Ca(OH)2 will be implanted in the dorsal region of 24 male rats, that will be killed after 7, 30, 60 and 90 days, and the pieces were processed for interpretation.
