Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the theme of sustainable development through an expanded approach, with an integrated focus among environmental, economic and social aspects. In particular, the focus is the relationship between sustainability and labor, to study the implications and impacts to workers who perform their activities in organizations considered sustainable or engaged in social responsibility. To achieve this goal, we intend to go through the following questions: 1) how labor appears as a strategic issue for sustainability in organizations? 2) What are the issues that influence the project definition of operations, in service concepts, procedures and tasks? 3) What are the variables, indicators and factors related to the concepts of a labor considered sustainable for your executor? 4) How the sustainability discourse and / or corporate social responsibility is translated into direct action on the internal social dimension? 5) How to provide to the organizational environment a structured and proactively way to consider labor on their own strategies for sustainability? Therefore, it is expected to find as a result of this research: 1) provide subsidies to improvements in working conditions and planning of work processes of organizations, 2) academic contributions to the standards and laws that address the issues of labor practices and/or sustainability and corporate social responsibility, and 3) academic contributions to the implementation of work practices consistent with the organizational alignment and corporate social responsibility.
