Abstract

Classification, organization in a data basis, and analysis of the opinions (and decisions based on them) rendered by the Justice Division of the Imperial State Council. The project is designed to understand the Brazilian legal culture in the XIX century by analysing one specific institution which worked as a final and authentic interpreter of the legal order and which was in charge of deciding the conflicts between the other branches of state power.
