Abstract

The study of symbiotic stars makes possible a particularly convenient approach to investigate the chemical enrichment processes of intermediate mass stars and interstellar medium for a given stellar system. Using SOAR and the high throughput Goodman spectrograph, we observed, for the first time, a sample of faint symbiotic stars in the Magellanic Clouds. Results derived from this sample will allows us to better describe the chemical enrichment processes in the MC and compare them to previous results obtained from planetary nebulae samples in these galaxies.
