Abstract

During October 29 to November 22, Dr. Nicholas Sherman from University of Virginia will participate of activities to the development and optimization of methods in Mass Spectrometry Laboratory at LNBio. In addition, he will be a speaker in the Proteomics Use's Meeting to be held at LNBio in November. Twenty internal and external users will be selected for this meeting. Among the activities, Dr. Nicholas will participate in experiments with protein complex mixtures, endogenous peptide analysis, phosphoprylated peptide analysis, discussions about isotopic labeling, Proteome Discoverer Software and instrumentation (the details are attached). Methodologies that have been used in the most important international groups of proteomic and mass spectrometry and that are being used by Dr. Nicholas in his laboratory will be optimized at LNBio. For these experiments we will also use the LTQ Velos Orbitrap, approved by Programa Multiusuário 3 of FAPESP. (AU)
