Abstract

The visiting researcher, Professor Ph. D. Mateu Cabot, will develop activities such as advisement and collaboration to research, conferences, mini-courses and will also take part, as an examiner, assessing thesis and dissertations, in the period from August to November, 2012. The main visited institution will be UNIMEP, but the professor is also participating in scientific activities at UFSCar, UNESP- Araraquara, UNICAMP and UFSC. His scientific activities will be developed for the benefit of the Critical Theory and Education Research Group and of the research projects from the doctors of the group. The visiting researcher, based on his studies -- "Arte y cultura de masas"; "Análisis de la 'Cultura digital de masas' desde una perspectiva teórico/crítica"; "Formas de experiencia en el siglo XXI" - will develop advisement and collaboration activities to the following scientific projects:1) Project "Technology, Digital Culture and Formation: analisys from the critical theory of society", connected to the Grupo de Pesquisa Teoria Crítica e Educação (Critical Theory and Education Research Group), under the coordination of Bruno Pucci. In preparation. 2) "New Technologies and Critical Theory: the virtual distance education in Pedagogy II", under the coordination of Bruno Pucci, UNIMEP; 3) "Walter Benjamin and Gaston Bachelard: approximations on the Children's core and Education", under the coordination of Luzia Batista de Oliveira Silva, UNIMEP. In preparation. 4) "Sadism and Professorial Superb in Virtual Communities: new avatars of violence between teachers and students", under the coordination of Antonio Álvaro Soares Zuin, UFSCar; 5) "New Technologies, Digital Culture and Policy Implications in Education: an analysis of the Political Project of the Universidade Aberta do Brasil - UAB/ MEC", under the coordination of Luiz Roberto Gomes, UFSCar; 6) "Digital technologies and subjectivity: theoretical contributions for the new educational demands reflexion", under the coordination of Luiz Antônio Calmon Nabuco e Renato Bueno Franco, UNESP-Araraquara; 7) "Production of the novel: the Ulisses in James Joyce", under the coordination of Fábio A. Durão, UNICAMP; 8) "Educação e Sociedade Contemporânea", under the coordination of Alexandre Fernandez Vaz, UFSC, Florianópolis. He will develop the following teaching activities: 1) Participation in three "Aesthetics and Education" classes, subject taught by Bruno Pucci, for students of PPGE/UNIMEP; 2) Participation in a "Ethics and Education" class, subject taught by Bruno Pucci, for graduate students of the Pedagogy course. 3) Participation in a "Philosophy of Education" class, subject taught by Luiza Batista de Oliveira Silva, for students of the Philosophy and History course, UNIMEP;4) Performance of a Mini-Course, in November, at UFSCar and UNESP-Araraquara, for postgraduate students. The visiting professor Ph. D. Mateu Cabot, will also develop: 1)Workshops for teachers and students of PPGE/UNIMEP; for the History and Philosophy of Education Research Center of UNIMEP; for teachers and students of the Communication courses of UNIMEP; for teachers and students of the Psychology course of UNIMEP; for teachers and students of PPGE/UFSCar; for Graduate, Master's and Doctoral students of the Study Group and Research: Critical Theory and Education - UFSCar and for the students of the Post-Graduation Program of UFSCar; for teachers and students of the Post-Graduation Program of IEL/UNICAMP. 2)Conference on "VIII Congress of Critical Theory: Challenges and opportunities in the digital era" on the theme "Cultura digital de masas y nueva educación", at UNESP-Araraquara, on September 11 and participation in the congress. 3) Participation, as an examiner, assessing a doctoral thesis and a master's dissertation from students of PPGE/UNIMEP. 4) Participation in meetings to evaluate the contributions of the visiting researcher, at UNIMEP, on September 29 and 30.
