Abstract

Prof. Christian Stevens is a renowned researcher in Organic Chemistry. He is author of more than 135 journal publications in A1 (Web of Science), editor of two book chapters and 8 patents. Prof. Christian Stevens has experience in research on Chemical Modifications of renewable sources for biofuel production, and particularly additives. During his visit, he will participate of a workshop (Biofuels and Bioproducts), giving lectures on the following topics: products derived from castor oil and biocompounds production by the modification of sugars and fatty acids. Prof. Stevens will also participate in meetings with Professors of the thematic project "Phase Equilibrium and Purification Processes in the Production of Biofuels and Biocompounds", coordinated by Prof. Dr. Antonio José de Meirelles Almeida and he will be part of the Doctoral Reading Committee of Simone Monteiro e Silva.
