Abstract

The aim of this project is to give continuity to the construction of the Discursive Encyclopedia of City (ENDICI), a digital encyclopedia elaborated on the basis of the theoretical device of the Discourse Analysis. At first we'll proceed analyses of contemporary urban discourses. Then a set of encyclopedic discursive articles in hypertext format we'll be elaborated. The polysemy notion is operated in order to contemplate the multiplicity of senses that are presented in this artifact: different interpretations of one symbolic object; multiple sense relations in a heterogeneous corpus; paraphrastic relations; specific senses of diverse occurrences of a lexical item; reconfigurations of lexical relations that involve, amongst other facts, synonymy and hyperonymy. Non-verbal materials (images, videos, audios) will be elaborated to be inserted in the articles. The site of the ENDICI will be remodelled by means of the construction of a data base, a new overture page, and research devices. In order to evaluate the reading of the site, a space for manifestation of readers will be inserted in the ENDICI. (AU)
