Abstract

In accordance with information provided by FAPESP, the Embrapa Southeast Livestock has R$ 17,216.00, originated from projects financed by FAPESP under development in this research center. Due to the need for ongoing projects and new approved projects, such as "Genetic improvement of Paspalum for intensive production systems in the State of São Paulo: the characterization of accessions" and "Crossbreeding and management strategies to optimize maternal and reproductive performance of female sheep, for the production of high quality sheep meat and leather, in the Southeast region of Brazil", it is our intention to use this fund in the acquisition of a large oven for drying and sterilization with circulation and air exchange. This oven will be used in the drying of materials provided by the projects, since the existing ones do not meet all the demand. The fund will also be used for the adjustment of the electrical installation. The plan of utilization of the fund has been approved at a regular meeting of the Internal Technical Committee (CTI) of Embrapa Southeast Livestock, held on May 11, 2012. (AU)
