Abstract

The Ganoderma species (Polyporales) are cosmopolitan. The tropical region has great number of species or one species with great polimorphysme, with 22species registred in the literature for different American tropical places. As other species of Agaricomycetes, Ganoderma occours in hard and soft woods, being saprophytic or phytopatogenic. In leguminosae trees of urban centres species of Ganoderma are phytopatogenic with the risc of fallen trees down over people and cars. The subject of this project is to identify the species of the genus Ganoderma on leguminosae trees through the morfology and microstrutures of basidiomes , ultrastructure of basidiospores, molecular biology, enzymatic activity looking for clarify the taxonomy and increasing the knowledge for future disease control.
