Informational and instructional intervention program with reading comprehension: proposal of activity with fundamental public school teachers

Abstract

This research has as aims to propose two studies: the study 1, aimed to characterize the profile in reading comprehension of students of the 3rd to the 5th year of public education and the study 2, aimed to verifying and comparing the effectiveness of two intervention programs, been a informational and other instructional for reading comprehension of students of 3rd to 5th elementary school. In study 1 will participate 270 students of the 3rd to the 5th year of municipal public schools of both genders between the ages of eight to ten years and 11months of age, divided into three groups of 90 students each, been GI (composed of students of the 3rd year), GII (composed of students of the 4th year) and GIII (composed of students of the 5th year). The students will be submitted to the assessment of reading comprehension and the results will be statistically analyzed. In the study 2, will take part nine teachers of the students from the study 1, been one of each school year, divided in: GIe (composed of three teachers who will not be subject to the intervention programs), GIIe (three teachers who will be subjected to the informative intervention program) and GIIIe (three teachers who will be subjected to the instructional intervention program). The study 2 will be divided into two phases, the first of them will be held the two intervention programs for reading comprehension of the students of the 3rd to 5th of elementary school and the second will be held, the implementation of programs in the teachers of the GIIe and GIIIe groups. The results will be statistically analyzed to compare the findings before and after application of informational and instructional intervention programs in order to verify their educational effectiveness.
