Abstract

This study has as aims to characterize the profile in reading comprehension of students of the 3rd grade level of public education and to verifying the effectiveness of instructional intervention for reading comprehension of teachers of elementary school. This study will divide in three phases: In phase 1, 30 students of the 3rd grade level of municipal public schools of both genders, aged of eight years to eight years and 11months will participate. The students will be submitted to the assessment of reading comprehension protocol and the results will be statistically analyzed. In the phase 2, four teachers of the students from the phase 1 will participate, these teachers will divided in: GP (composed of two teachers will submitted to the instructional intervention program), and GC (composed of two teachers will not submitted to the instructional intervention program). The results will be statistically analyzed to compare the findings of assessment of reading comprehension of students of phase 1 before and after application of instructional intervention program in order to verify their educational efficacy to reading comprehension of students this study.
