Abstract

This project aims to propose two studies, with the Study 1 aims to develop a multi-sensory intervention program to students with dyslexia and Study 2 aims to verify the implementation and effectiveness of multi-sensory intervention program developed in study 1 with students with dyslexia. The program will be developed in Study 1 will be based in the five skills to develop the efficacy of the instruction of reading: phonological awareness, phonics, fluency and reading comprehension. Implementation of the program will be carried out through a pilot study, in which will participate 40 students with interdisciplinary diagnosis of dyslexia attending 3rd to 5th grade of primary school, aged 8 and 10 years and 11 months of age, both genders, divided into 2 groups. Group I (GI): composed by 20 students with interdisciplinary diagnosis of dyslexia participating in the multi-sensory intervention program developed in Study 1, Group II (GII): composed by 20 students with interdisciplinary diagnosis of dyslexia that not submitted in the multi-sensory intervention program elaborated in study 1. All students of this study will be submitted in the pre and post-testing the application of the Metalinguistic Skills and Reading Protocol (PROHMELE), the Spelling Assessment Protocol (Pro-Ortografia) and Vocabulary Test with Figures USP (TVFUSP). The results will be statistically analyzed in order to compare the performance between the students submitted and not submitted to the intervention program elaborated for this study in order to verify the efficacy of the intervention program elaborated.
