Abstract

The present project intends to evaluate the impact of some new arrangements and strategies in the basic health program regarding aspects related to the following binding programs: Enlarged Clinic and Paideia Group, the articulation of networks within mental health and basic health, and the health promotion. Therefore a predominantly qualitative and quantitative evaluative research will be carried out by using interviews and focus groups for the field survey and the critical hermeneutics of data interpretation. The consolidation of the unified health system as a public policy has brought up the need of investigations concerning its implantation process, the effectiveness of its working methods and the respect towards its directives. In various studies and forums it has been highlighted that there might be an effectiveness crisis and moreover the need to improve the system, especially the challenges set for the Basic Health Network.
