Abstract

Ulcerative oral mucositis is one of the most common, bothersome, and doselimiting complications of cancer therapy, wich may be manifes as inflammation and ulcer formation of the oral mucosa and gastrointestinal tract.This aim is caracterize mucositis in the cheek pouc mucosa of hamsters Animal will be divided into 3 groups: 1. control, 2. terapeutic laser applications is 4J/cm2 3. terapeutic laser applications is 8J/cm2. The histologic features will be studied, in particular collagen degeneration, imunohistochemic, with or without bacterial and fungi. (AU)
