Abstract

Professor Maria da Conceição Calhau, visiting FEA UNICAMP, will teach a short course, which will be part of disciplines Special Topics in Food Science and Special Topics in Food and Nutrition. The public will be of graduate students from two programs of excellence on the Faculty of Food Engineering, UNICAMP (Food Science and Food & Nutrition). Meetings will be held to discuss potential partnerships and exchanges of students between institutions (FEA and the University of Porto). This exchange has been initiated with a guided by Professor Gabriela Alves Macedo going for an internship for six months, under the supervision of Professor Calhau, starting in June 2013, at the University of Porto. There are other interested Professors, as Dr. Flávia Maria Neto Dr. Juliana Alves Macedo. Meetings should facilitate the establishment of various points of interest and convergence of the researchers involved, strengthening links to share knowledge and collaborate on projects and training of students. Will be opportunities for each teacher to show their lab facilities, the resources they rely and running projects, facilitating the establishment of partnerships and collaborations. Students graduate will be invited to present their projects to a visiting researcher. Professor Calhau will give a lecture in the program of Internal Scientific Seminars of FEA, which has enjoyed wide dissemination in unity and participation of students and teachers from across the college, and that disclosure could be extended to all UNICAMP this occasion.
