Abstract
Nowadays, Perovskite ferroelectric oxides are multifunctional materials that have been the focus of intense technologic and scientific research. They can even show novel coupling of multiple coexisting states, such as magnetism and superconductivity, or ferroelectricity and ferromagnetism. They can be used to fabricate various devices including nonvolatile ferroelectric random access memories, optico devices (photoluminescence) microsensors, transparent conducting oxide (TCOs) and optico-eletronic devices. In this Project we propose to investigate the ferroelectric and magnetics properties of multifunctional oxides ABO3 perovskite structure, in particular Pb0,70Sr0,30-xAxTi1-yByO3 (A = La or Bi, B = Fe) in the form of thin films and bulk. Substitutions at sites A and B by transition elements and lanthanides are candidates for obtaining new functionalities in a single material with potential applications in high Technologies devices, e.g, ferromagnetics memories.
