Abstract

The mammogram is a test recommended for tracking changes of mammary tissue in asymptomatic patients and it has a sensivity about 88% to 93.1% and its is used to screnning method reduces mortality by 25%. In 2004 the Brasilian Health of Ministry has published the guide "Control of breast cancer: consensus document" which recommends the clinical breast examination since 40 years-old, mammogram between 50-69 years-old with interval of 2 years and mammogram since 35 years-old if the women had high risk for breast cancer.In HIV-infected women,the association between the infection and antiretroviral terapy causes some metabolics changes and the body fat redistribution, increasing the mammalian tissue, for exemple. Then this study pretend to evaluate the prevalence of mammographic changes in HIV-patients compared with healthy women. (AU)
