Acquisition of computer resources to meet the growing demand for researchers and postgraduate students

Abstract

In the last five years, we are noticing a significant expansion of research activities in our institution. This expansion is the result of a decision to recognize and treat the activities of research as generation of knowledge and innovation as one of the pillars of growth strategy and maintaining excellence in the Sociedade Beneficente de Senhoras Hospital Sírio-Libanês.As a result of our actions to leverage research activities, we have taken an important leap in improving in our infrastructure, with the renewal and expansion of laboratories areas now totaling almost 1000m2 with the availability of the necessary technologies for cell biology projects and molecular, including a stem cell laboratory to human clinical trials, latest generation sequencing bioinformatics and a very strong structure. Keep also an experimental surgical center, responsible for several lines of research scientific production and patent, in addition a vivarium of pigs and rodents. Today, we have several projects supported by FAPESP, including three projects in the category of Jovem Pesquisador regular support and scholarships of various levels.In the year 2012, we had approved by CAPES our program postgraduate MSc / PhD Scholar in Health Sciences, and during the year of 2013, it has been selected 46 new masters and doctoral students. Today, we are 36 permanent teachers and 14 exclusively dedicated to research activities.All this increased demand necessitates expansion of jobs with internet access, thus justifying the presentation of this plan using our technique Institutional Reserve.
