Abstract

The Teaching Center Beryl Langer , located on the 5th floor of the Central Institute, Hospital das Clinicas, University of Sao Paulo , was inaugurated in April 2004 with the mission to foster the development and training of professionals , with references in the Continuing Education Policy in health through educational practices based on plurality and diversity of human knowledge .The center currently has 06 classrooms with a total capacity of 170 seats and running Monday to Saturday , serving a daily average of 430 people . Its structure is used daily for the development of activities that are geared to teaching , research and care, these are undergraduate classes , clinics , business meetings , conferences , lectures , broadcasts via videoconference . This agenda setting us on the mission in Continuing Education regarding public policy of the Unified Health System ( SUS ) .In operation nine years ago , the Center for Studies needs repairs on their physical structure in order to make good and proper , according to ergonomic standards , the environment of the classroom , as well as multimedia high-tech equipment , bringing improvements the quality of telemedicine transmissions which is the technological foundation for all events focused on education , research and care by videoconferencing / web conferencing .
