Abstract
This is a proposal to undertake world-class research in innovation systems, strategies and policies with the intention of building up a sustainable research unit between the PI, the co-PIs, the AIs, doctoral students, and international visiting scholars in this field using the expertise and the combined global research networks of the PI and co-PIs. The main purpose is to enhance DPCT’s capabilities in order to raise it among the tem leading innovation research centers in the world within ten years. These capabilities will be structured around four Research Trajectories (RT): 1) Innovation policy in a systems perspective; 2) Evaluation of research and development (R&D) programms; 3) Strategic partnerships / network is the public and private domain; 4) Entrepreneurship. In a contexto of a global research network, a wide range of outcomes are expected mainly related to personnel qualification in innovation studies, production of theses and dissertations, publication of scientific papers and joint formulation of methodologies with intense interation between relevant research centers around the world and DPCT.
