Abstract

Objective: This project aims to study the influence of religiosity, specifically the acceptance or exclusion of transcendence and literal or symbolic interpretation of religious content, in the competence of moral judgment. Method: The study is divided in two stages. The first one will count with 400 college students from different areas of knowledge from two universities in São Paulo and the instrument used is the Post Critical Belief Scale (PCBS) with 33 items when the validation process will be conducted. In the second stage will participate students from different levels of education and their families, totalizing 1875 subjects. This sample will answer the PCBS, a test of moral competence and a economical classification scale. Expected Results: validation of the Post-Critical Belief Scale and correlations between the two proposed constructs. (AU)
