Abstract

The main objective of this project is the cooperation and continuity in the line of research studies in biotribology characterization of polymeric biomaterials developed between the research groups of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Unicamp, under the coordination of Professor Dr. Cecilia de Carvalho Zavaglia and the University of Minho in Braga - Portugal coordinated by Prof. Dr. José Manuel Ramos Gomes. Methods * Presentation about "Biotribologia hydrogels as cartilage replacement" open to the entire community. - The lecture will address the recent studies undertaken by research centers in biotribology. - The presentation will be held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Unicamp, in the department of materials. - Participants will include researchers Labiomec - Laboratory of Biomaterials and Biomechanics, researchers at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Biomanufacturing - BIOFABRIS, and all interested in the subject. * Scientific support for masters and doctoral students who develop studies in areas related to biotribologia: loneta Lauro Lima, Fernanda Henriques Ferreira dos Santos and Danielle Feliciano * Visit the technical departments of the State University of Campinas working with biomaterials for the treatment of cartilage of the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering, for further scientific cooperation. Work Plan and Schedule. The work plan will be developed that involves the following activities: 1 - Presentation of the work team of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Unicamp. 2 - Presentation of the work done by the team of Mechanical Engineering, University of Minho. 3 - Presentation of the talk about "Biotribologia hydrogels as cartilage replacement" open to the entire community. 4 - Discussion of results and scientific support to master's and doctoral students who research in areas related to biotribologia, for further elaboration of scientific articles. 5 - Technical visits to research departments at the University of Campinas and the National Institute of Science and Technology in Biomanufacturing – BIOFABRIS. 6 - Development of new projects in partnership between the State University of Campinas and the University of Minho. 7 - Final Report (AU)
