Abstract

This proposal presents the needs and justifications of EERP-USP to use the portion of the technical reserve of projects supported by FAPESP, in the year 2014, which totals R$ 44,812.00. Since 2009, EERP-USP, aiming to strengthen its research structure in order to support its researchers, has established a physical and functional infrastructure. In this context, in 2009, the Center for Research Support (CENAPq) was established, which has acted to provide technical support to researchers and Research Groups, according to the demands and needs identified in the unit. In order to give substance to this Center, staff from different sectors of EERP-USP received training from FAPESP with regard to the processes of research support. More recently, the Unit prioritized hiring a specialist with training in statistics to be part of the staff linked to CENAPq, as well as designating an administrative technician already trained by FAPESP. The Center team also includes another technical staff trained in research and faculty with expertise and experience in research. The demands and needs identified at EERP-USP for the use of ITR are articulated in three main areas that translate the projects presented in follow: 1) Modernization of EERP-USP's Maintenance Vivarium, in order to meet the regulations of the Animal Ethics Research Board; 2) Researches related to teaching at EERP-USP, aiming to expand the use of different tools of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) target at teaching and research at EERP-USP; 3) Maintenance of Laboratories: Physiology Laboratories, Multiuser Laboratory (LGBIO), Pharmacology and Ecotoxicology and Environmental Parasitology.
