Abstract
The rehabilitation of edentulous areas with dental implants is a process with high predictability and well documented in the literature . However , that success depends on the basis of already established osseointegration highlighting that study, the physicochemical properties of the surface , which interfere with biological responses and consequent bone repair of bone / implant interface . The purpose of this research is to analyze prospectively and compared in total edentulous mandible of humans, stability, survival rate and peri-implant bone stability of implants with different surface treatments . Twenty patients without systemic involvement , nonsmokers and edentulous will be selected . These patients will undergo surgical procedure for the installation of four implants of 4.0 x 10 mm , between mentuals foramina , one implant each surface randomly distributed per patient : ( 1 ) modified by LASER beam surface , ( 2 ) modified by LASER with the biomimetic apatite deposition method , ( 3 ) modified by double etching and ( 4 ) modified by sandblasting and acid etching ( SLA Active , Straumman ) . Clinic, resonance frequency ( Osstell ® ) , radiographic and tomographic : the analysis will be employed . After 3 months the installation of the prosthesis of the lower protocol type will be performed . Clinical , radiographic and resonance frequency ( Osstell ® ) will be analyzed in periods T0 ( immediately after implant placement ) , T1 (15 days ) , T2 (30 days) , T3 (60 days) , T4 (90 days) , T5 (180 days ) , T6 ( 360 days ) post- implant placement . The tomographic analysis will be performed in T0 , T2 , T6 periods . Quantitative data will be submitted to the Kolmogorov -Smirnov test adopting a significance level of 5 % . (AU)
