Abstract

The proposed visit includes a number of research and teaching activities as described in the attached documents. The main research activities are focused in two large scale projects and on bio-optical descriptions of the water column and the development of a new approach to study rocky shores. We anticipate at least three visits of Dr. Lewis for talks in other institutions in São Paulo state and other USP campi. Discussions with students and postdocs are programed to occur weekly in CEBIMar. A proposal for a continuing collaboration between Dalhousie University and CEBIMar is expected as one of the outcomes of the proposed visit. (AU)
